Moore, Jarrett, Fulks, and Smale | Authors

Dayton Moore served as general manager of the Kansas City Royals from 2006 to 2022, leading the organization to its first World Series championship in 30 years. Under Moore’s leadership, the Royals reached back-to-back World Series in 2014 and 2015, winning it all in 2015 after the club had gone 29 years without a postseason appearance. The 2014 team captured the American League championship by setting a Major League record with eight consecutive playoff wins. Moore’s impact extended far beyond the field, though. In November 2013, he founded the C You In The Major Leagues Foundation to support youth baseball, education, families in crisis and faith-based programs and organizations throughout the Kansas City community. Additionally, he was involved in the development of the Kansas City MLB Urban Youth Academy and Unite KC.

Ray Jarrett, the Executive Director of Unite KC, has a proven track record of coaching leaders and helping them to understand and correctly interpret the vision for their business and translate it into actionable items and a tangible direction. Ray consistently delivers results by establishing a strategic direction that facilitates company growth and profitability.

Matt Fulks became the Executive Director of the C You In The Major Leagues Foundation in May 2015. A native of Wichita, Kansas, Fulks started a career in journalism in 1989, while attending Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, after his baseball career was cut short due to a lack of ability. Fulks is the author/co-author of more than 25 books, including Dayton Moore’s More Than A Season.
