Manuscript Submission Guidelines

Thank you for considering our publishing company for your work.

We are looking for original, well-crafted manuscripts using clean, non-offensive nor foul language, one that engages deeply with the audience.

Please review our guidelines carefully before submitting.

Manuscripts that do not adhere to these requirements will not be accepted.

1. Scope & Categories We Publish

We accept submissions across two primary tracks. Please specify your track in your cover letter.

  • Original works: framework outlines, personal or deep analytical stories. All genres considered including autobiographies, biographies, memoirs, histories, historical fiction, and fiction.
  • Updated works: previously published books where the author owns the copyright, possesses all the source files, and has added significant context to the original story.
  • Please spell out the differences in your cover letter.

One of our editors will preview your manuscript so to ensure a smooth peer-review process, please format your files according to the following specifications:

4. Ethical Standards & AI Use

We uphold rigorous standards of publication ethics. By submitting, you affirm that:

  • Originality: The manuscript is your original work, is not currently under copyright elsewhere, and has not been previously published or if previously published, contains ownership information.
  • Plagiarism: We run all submissions through a rigorous detection process. Plagiarism or text-recycling (self-plagiarism) will result in immediate rejection.
  • Generative AI Policy: Authors may use generative AI tools (like ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude or Gemini) for grammar editing or brainstorming assistance. However, AI cannot be listed as a co-author or provide substantive text or imaging. Any extensive use of AI to generate text, data, or images must be transparently disclosed in your methodology or acknowledgments.
  • Non-Disclosure Statement:  Author manuscripts submitted through this portal will not be disclosed or otherwise conscripted for the benefit of Storyteller Publishing unless the author and publisher sign a contract stipulating terms of their publishing Agreement. Should author submit a manuscript that, in the determination of the senior editor, duplicates another author’s story, this submission will be declined with an exact reference to the rejection rationale.

5. Review and Publication Timeline

Initial Screening

Weeks 1-3

The editorial team evaluates the manuscript for scope fit, basic formatting, and plagiarism check. The manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent editors for a double-blind review. Acceptance or desk rejections occur during this window.

Editorial Decision

Week 3

Authors receive an official decision along with an explanation of next steps: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions (Revise & Resubmit), or Decline.

Copyediting & Production [if Accepted and a Contract has been signed]

New Timeline: Weeks 1-30

Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting, interior/exterior design layout, proofreading and author signoff/approval before final publication and release. If the author chooses our marketing and sales options, a detailed plan with roles and responsibilities will be negotiated.
